First of all, thank
you

Please know that I sincerely
appreciate your making the effort to write a guest-blog and your
trust in me to present it on my blog.
Second: Here's
what's been done
Now that's been posted on the blog, the link should automatically
appear on the feeds not only for the blog itself but also into
my facebook "friend feed" and amazon.com author pages.
I've added the link to the Madam
Mayo's Guest-bloggers Archives Page and if I haven't already,
in the next 24 hours I will tweet the link to your blog post
@madammayo. Finally,
I will mention and link to it again in one or more future blog
posts (such as this
one or this
one.)
Third: To give
your guest-blog post a boost, here are 5 quick, easy, and effective
things you can do right now
If you're swamped, no
worries, just ignore all this. If all of this is obvious, please
know that many of my guest-bloggers did not grow up the digital
world and also, for many, of any age, doing guest-blogs to promote
their book is a completely new experience. That said, here goes:
# 1 Run
the link on your own webpage and blog;
# 2 Add the link to your facebook page;
# 3 If you have a Twitter account, tweet it (and let me
know @madammayo
and I will retweet your tweet);
# 4 E-mail your agent with the link because who knows, he
or she might do something with it-- some will mention it on their
own blog or website. If nothing else, you've alerted your agent
with nice news about your book, never a bad thing.
# 5 E-mail your publisher's marketing director and/or
publicity person with the link-- and cc your editor and your
agent. In my own experience working with several different publishers,
this is one of the most effective things you can do.
Again, please
feel free to ignore these tips if they aren't right for you at
this time and know that you have my sincere thanks for contributing
your guest-blog post, and my warmest wishes for all your endeavors.
